Since entering private practice, Attorney Stranahan's practice has been focused on litigation in the areas of Domestic Relations, Bankruptcy, and Commercial Contract Law, as well as appellate work. Prior to joining Carney and Good in 2005, he served as law clerk for the Hon. Michael E. Dunlavey of the Erie County Court of Common Pleas in the Family Division. Jay earned his Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University and his Juris Doctor from the Duquesne School of Law. Prior to practicing law, Jay worked for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, the House Republican Campaign Committee, and the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania on various political campaigns and House Members. He is an avid follower of WVU football and is involved in greenspace development projects in Erie as well as in his hometown of Spartansburg.
